An alternative source of analysis and commentary

The current Front Page article by "HCA's Child" indicates a number of serious concerns regarding the newly cemented agreement between OSU and ENGIE-Axium. This blog post will be updated in the near future to include a more detailed itemization of those concerns, and how they relate to some of the managerial issues discussed in our first posting on administrative growth at OSU. We will then be submitting our questions and concerns to the author for their commentary and input. Readers wishing to submit their own questions for the author may do so by commenting on this thread.

A few additional thoughts and comments on the article. First, no single set of data provides a perfect measurement, unless the aspect that one is attempting to quantify is extremely simple - for example, the temperature in a particular place at a particular time. And what we are trying to measure here does not fall into that category.


On the other hand, what we are measuring is also not that complicated. The staffing and outlay data reported to HEDC, NCES, and other reputable organizations that record and study national educational statistics are listing exactly what has been reported to them by the institutions themselves.
